hello this is a test message

The Joe Slovo Foundation is a Public Benefit Organisation (PBO# 930055404) & Non-Profit Organisation (NPO# 170-380) registered in South Africa with a UK satellite office.

Inspired by the great Anti-Apartheid Leader Joe Slovo’s legacy, the focus of the Joe Slovo Foundation is on the entitlement of human Rights especially Women’s Rights and on building Resilient Communities utilising a ‘Sustainable Livelihoods Approach’.

Our campaigns and programmes are sustained – The Joe Slovo Foundation is the power behind the White Ribbon Campaign in South Africa, teaching all South Africans (not only men and boys) to end violence against women and girls through primary prevention programmes.

The Joe Slovo Foundation formed part of the UN-OCHA World Humanitarian Summit Consultation Process and is actively engaged in supporting both the Outcomes of the Summit and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) in Africa.

Established in 2011 the Joe Slovo Foundation is part of the Global White Ribbon Network and also subscribes to the 100RC Network, seeking to adapt their knowledge and experience to the African Continent.

At Slovo’s funeral Nelson Mandela described Joe as a ‘Great African Hero’ – the good will and reputation attached to Joe’s name in Africa and in internationally enables the Foundation to uniquely engage with Communities, Business, Business, Trade Unions, Government – both National & Local as well as Civil Society in a manner others find difficult and so successfully drive out initiatives. projects.
